Timothy Edwin Nerger August 2, 1951 - September 11, 2016

Timothy Edwin Nerger passed onto his eternal home on September 11, 2016 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 65.

Tim is survived by his wife Jo Ann; sons Jonathan Jeffrey Nerger and wife Sara Elizabeth, Randall Timothy Nerger and wife Regina Lynn; grandchildren, Cora Rose Nerger, Jeffrey Daniel Nerger, Jack Timothy Nerger, Anna Noelle Nerger; brother, Paul Gregory Nerger and wife Beth Ann; nephews Bryan Joseph Nerger, Matthew Jacob Nerger.

Tim was born on August 2, 1951 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Rev. Edwin Albert Nerger, LLD and Cora Bell Nerger. He graduated from Valparaiso University in 1973 with a degree in Electrical Engineering and the University of Dallas with an MBA in 1978. He married Jo Ann Redmond on January 5, 1974. After moving to Dallas, Texas, Tim began working for Texas Instruments. He moved to Denver, CO to work for Martin Marietta and later to Colorado Springs, CO to work for Digital Equipment Corporation. In 1993, Tim moved to Oklahoma City, OK to work for Seagate Technologies and ended his career at the Federal Aviation Administration.

Tim was a devoted Christian, husband, father, and grandfather who loved building relationships with others. He was an active and dedicated member of his church who was accomplished at playing his guitars and his trumpet, and passionate about ministering to others through the gift of his music. He was a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America at the troop and district levels, coaching many young men on to reach the highest rank of Eagle.

A celebration of Tim's life is scheduled for 10am Sept. 20, 2016 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tim's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Tim Nerger Memorial Fund at Messiah Lutheran Church at 3600 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.
