Vicki Charlotte Meacham, beloved wife, mom, nana, and servant of the Lord took the hand of Jesus on Sunday, February 9th, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 76. A celebration of Vicki’s life will be held on Friday, February 21st, 2025, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, with Pastor Greg Jones officiating.
Vicki was born on May 27th, 1948 to Wilburn H and Loretta C Watkins in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She was the eldest child of 6 other siblings, Richard, Mike, Jimmy Don, Cindy, Nancy, and Tammy. She graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1966 then received her cosmetology license and pursued work as a cosmetologist for many years. She also later worked for Pioneer Telephone and retired from Pioneer after 10 years of service. Additionally, she worked as church secretary over the years at First Baptist Church in Kingfisher, at the Church of the Nazarene in Kingfisher, and finally at the Highland Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
She married Gregory Meacham on October 22nd, 1966 and raised her family in the Dover and Kingfisher Oklahoma area. Vicki was the spiritual leader of the home and a member of First Baptist Church in Kingfisher, OK, in which she and Gregory raised their family as members. In 2013, Gregory and Vicki moved to Oklahoma City where she moved her church membership to Highland Hills Baptist Church.
To know Vicki was to Love her. Throughout her life, it was quite evident that she had a servant’s heart and loved caring for her family and for others in the community, especially the less fortunate. She was an advocate for the regional food banks in her areas and was instrumental in ministering to hundreds through that mission. Vicki was a dedicated member of Singing Churchwomen of Oklahoma and was passionate about their ministry. With this organization, she found and joined a group of Christ-serving prayer warriors that love to lift their beautiful voices to praise the Lord. Most of all, Vicki cherished her grandkids and did her absolute best to love on them and teach through example to love and follow Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Vicki is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gregory Meacham, along with their three children: Brendon Meacham and his wife Tiffany of Kingfisher, OK and their children, Dylan, Chloe, and Adler; Ryan Meacham and his wife Marty of Elk City, OK and their children, Reagan, Connor, and Kasady; Tara Hampton and her husband Matt of Oklahoma City, OK and their son Cterling. Vicki will also be deeply missed by many other loving relatives.
There will be no graveside service following the Celebration of Life service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Singing Churchwomen of Oklahoma by mailing to:
