Walter Lorne Thompson Jr February 8, 1963 - January 1, 2017

Walter "Bud" Lorne Thompson Jr., age 54, of Yukon, OK, passed away on April 1st, 2017, from an aggressive brain cancer. Visitation will be held on April 7th, from 5-8PM, at Buchanan Funeral Services, 8712 N. Council Rd., OKC, OK. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 8th, at Bible Baptist Church in El Reno, OK. Brian Trull, of Crosspoint Baptist Church, will be officiating. Burial will follow at El Reno cemetery. Bud was born in Altus, OK, on February 8th, 1963. He attended school in Mangum, OK. He was an entrepreneur in the construction industry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. He was involved with his church, Crosspoint Baptist, of Yukon, OK. He never met a stranger, and loved helping people. His life, smile, and laugh touched many lives. Bud is survived by his wife, Tammy; mother, Judy; sisters, Becky, Kay, & Rhonda; sons, Heath, Austin, Eli, & Taylor; daughter, Ruth; 5 grandchildren; 19 nieces and nephews, of those Andrea, Christen, Justin, and Kale, who were like his own children. He is preceded in death by his father, Walter "Bill" Thompson.
