WATERMAN J. "Dub", age 89 of OKC went to be with his Heavenly Father on Christmas Day, 2011. He was born February 19, 1922 in Sumter, S. C. to Ada Watson and Waterman Jacob Davis. Dub served his country during WWII as a Gunner on B-29 stationed in Saipan. He was on the first mission to bomb Japan from Saipan serving 30 missions and received 2 distinguished flying cross medals. He met and married Nina T. Gray on May 1, 1965. Dub worked for L & S Bearing Co. for 23 years, as Tool & Die Engineer and press room supervisor, then United Technologies from 1972 until 1985 as Senior Process Engineer. He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his wife, Nina; daughter, Dorothy Logan and her children, Kelly Bartley and husband Jay, and James Logan and wife Lori; sons, Roy and Glenn Davis; grandson, Jonny and wife Carrie Randall; a son, James Gary Bernhardt and his wife Sandy and their children, Kathy Bernhardt, Robert Bernhardt and wife Vickie, and Rick Scott; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; a brother and a sister. Services to celebrate his life will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 29th at Grace United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
