Zaid Naeem Khalil Halasa

September 27, 1956 – July 26, 2020

Zaid Naeem Khalil Halasa, a family man who was blessed to be around his loved ones in his final moments, is now with God. Born in Karak, Jordan to mother Awatif Shawareb and father Naeem Halasa, Zaid lived between Oklahoma and Jordan throughout his life. At the time of his departure, Zaid was in Oklahoma surrounded by his family.

Zaid is survived by his mother Awatif Shawareb, wife Rima Qubain and two children, Tamara Flemons and Ramzi Halasa, a loving son in law, Antalon Flemons and two grandchildren Antalon III and Alexander Zaid Flemons. He is also survived by his brother Nader Halasa, sister Reem Halasa and nephew Naeem Halasa.

Zaid lived most of his life between Jordan and Oklahoma where he was blessed to have family in both places. He always found it important to take care of his family in any way and that grace was returned back to him in his final moments. Zaid suffered a few strokes, yet he fought back time and time again. He was a strong man, loved to spend time, eat with his family and take care of his garden.

He always had a gentle and loving nature to him. Zaid was fortunate to join his family in Oklahoma five months ago. He was filled with so much joy after meeting his grandchildren and being surrounded by his family. Today we will celebrate Zaid, his life and the time that God so graciously gave us these last few months.
