Katie is the daughter of our owner, Ray, and his wife Jana Buchanan. Buchanan Funeral Service opened for business on her 13th birthday. Katie grew up watching her dad and grandmother, Peggy Buchanan build a successful ministry that is always looking to serve this community. She graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Business Administration. After her graduation and learning from Peggy, Katie took over the role of Office Manager in 2019.
Katie and her husband Luke Welch got married in 2019. They have a dog named Lillie that they love to spoil. Katie and Luke are expecting their first child in January 2023. She enjoys spending time with family and cheering on her favorite teams, Oklahoma State and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
