Audrey was born in Knoxville, TN, March 3, 1925. Her family moved to St Louis, MO as a child. She met her husband Gerald before WWII and was married at the tender age of 16. They moved to Fargo, ND after the war where they raised their family, Sharon, Jim & Barb.
As many from that time period, she possessed a depression era mentality and was very frugal. She never allowed herself to enjoy the fruits of her labor.
She was a hard worker and walked all her life which kept her strong and healthy. She worked at Herbst department store for over 20 years and then at Preds Coat store until she retired.
They enjoyed many circles of friends from the El Zago Shrine and played bridge with various groups of friends. At the ripe old age of 98, she has outlived them all.
Her yard was always in bloom with geraniums, irises and peonies. Her daughter Barb now has the offspring of those beautiful flowers in her yard to always remind her of our Mother.
After they retired, they bought a home on Marion Lake, MN where they hosted many fun gatherings with family and friends.
When she turned 90, she moved to OKC to be closer to her daughter, Sharon and her family.
She had been blessed with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren to carry on the family legacy.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Buchanan Funeral Service, 8712 N Council Rd. Oklahoma City, OK 73132.
