Paul died in OKC on Nov. 28 th at the age of 91. He is survived by his daughter, Luci Ayyat and her husband Patrick Kaup of OKC; his step-daughters, Lynda Coakley of Hobart, OK and Renee (Mike) Noce of Dallas, TX as well as 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; his brother, Michael and sister, Theresa of Beirut, Lebanon. He is preceded in death by his parents Toufic and Lucia Ayyat and siblings Basil, Peter, John, Mary and Elias.
Paul was born in Lebanon. He came to OK to attend the FAA academy in the 1960s and spent his career in Avionics at Air Center and AAR Oklahoma. He married Charlotte Kerley in 1968 and raised 3 daughters. Paul enjoyed spending his time fixing electronics, walking Northpark Mall, having coffee with friends, and was an active member of St. Elijah Church for many years – often greeting visitors to the annual bake sale in traditional Lebanese costume.
Visitation will be 1-8 pm, Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Buchanan Funeral Service. Traditional Service will begin at 10:30 am, Monday, December 3, 2018 at St. Elijah Orthodox Church. If you would like to pay your respects beforehand please arrive at 10:15. Burial will follow, at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. The family would like to thank Legends at Council Road and Crossroads Hospice for their loving care and dedication.
