Charles Harlan Gilliland was born on July 20, 1928, in Waxahachie, TX to General Weldon Gilliland and Jewel (Barcigalupia) Gilliland. He went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2023, at the age of 95. Services will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 10:00AM at Victory Church OKC.
Harlan is survived by his wife of 75 years, Patty Jane; his brother, Mickey Gilliland, and wife Betty, along with their four children; his son Kevin and wife Rebecca, along with their daughter Kelly Jane and her husband Pete; his daughter Kelly Elaine and daughter Hazel Thulin; and 35 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War for two years and later owned Harlan’s Auto Repair for 37 years. Actively engaged in his community, he was the president of the Stockyards Lions Club, a member of the Top Tippers Club, and played a key role in establishing West Main Mission in Oklahoma. Committed to his faith, he attended and served at Victory Church OKC for many years. His lifelong passion for bringing people to know the Lord remained steadfast until the very end, as he continued to thank and praise God.
