Donald R., 75, passed away January 10, 2009 in OKC. He was born July 2, 1933 in Watonga, OK to Ival and Alice Schimmels. Don retired from the OKC Police Department with over 25 years of service. He is survived by his wife Betty; sons, Don Jr. and Gary Schimmels; daughter Renee Hayes; grandchildren, Jacob, Grayson, Luke, Garrett, Cade, Amanda, Erica, Emma; brother, Jim Schimmels. Visitation will be all day today with the family receiving visitors from 6 " 8 PM. Services are 2 PM, Wednesday, January 14th at Buchanan Funeral Service Chapel.
