Lawrence Nelson, age 91 of Oklahoma City, went to be with his Lord and Savior March 9, 2009. He was born November 20, 1917 in Seward, OK to Frank W. and Jennie (Stewart) Crosley. He was employed for S. H. Kress & Co. in Guthrie, before leaving to proudly serve his country as Chief Motor Machinest Mate on patrol craft 1079. After the service he worked for Swann Heating & Air Refrigeration and then Westinghouse Appliance. Lawrence served as a Deacon and an Elder for N. Penn Church of Christ. He attended Cherokee Hills Church of Christ and was currently a member of North MacArthur Church of Christ. He married Sylva Givens and she preceded him in death on January 21, 2007. He was also preceded by 6 sisters and 2 brothers. He is survived by 2 sons, Larry Crosley and wife Shannon ; Everett Crosley and wife Norma; 5 grandchildren, Gina and husband Bill Hopkins; Kevin Crosley; Julie and husband Jay Morgan; Ryan Crosley and wife Chi; Blake Crosley and wife Kenzie; 2 great grandchildren, Kaley & Kiera. Services to celebrate his life will be 2:00 PM, Friday, March 13 at Buchanan Funeral Service Chapel with interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
