Freda Grade August 8, 1921 - March 22, 2011

Freda Mae, 89, of Oklahoma City, OK., passed away at Deaconess Hospital on March 22, 2011. She was born in Atlanta, KS on August 8, 1921 to Curtis Kenneth Holt and Maggie Faye Billiter. She graduated from Atlanta High School in 1939 and attended Southwestern College in Winfield, KS and Phillips University in Enid, OK. She taught piano for several years. She worked at Cold Irons in Enid, OK. Freda met and married E. Max Grade in 1946. She served in different ministries for Metropolitan Baptist Church. Freda Mae was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Nelda Meyer. She is survived by her husband, E. Max Grade; daughter, Carla Sue Woodrow and husband Carl of Yukon, OK; brother, Keith Holt of Bartlesville, OK; three granddaughters, Rachae Rightnowar, Shannon Vogel (husband Gordon), Ashton Woodrow; and a great-granddaughter, Jadyn Vogel. Memorials may be made to Metropolitan Baptist Church. Viewing will be today from 12:00 noon until 8:00 PM with the family receiving visitors from 6 – 8 PM. Services to celebrate her life will be 2:00 PM, Friday, at Metropolitan Baptist Church.
