Gerrine Hicks was the eleventh child born to Thomas Jefferson and Emma Elizabeth Dunham on August 26th, 1925 in Rattan, OK, along with her twin sister, Geraldine.
Gerrine retired from management at Southwestern Bell after more than 30 years. She was an active member of the Piedmont Church of Christ. Though she had many gifts, her family will always remember and miss her supreme skills in the kitchen. She loved gardening, having her nose buried in a book, and working crossword puzzles, but more than anything, she dearly loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Louis Wooldridge, son; Gary Wooldridge, and eleven siblings, including her twin sister Geraldine Barnett.
Gerrine is survived by her husband; Victor R. Hicks of the home; daughter Jeannie Mitzner and her husband Mark of McKinney, Texas; step-daugher, Mary Hicks of Oklahoma City; step-son Lyndall Hicks and his wife Georgia, of Houston, Texas; granddaughter Heather Riddle and husband Lee of Prosper, TX; grandson Jacob Wooldridge and wife Cindy of Moore, OK; granddaughter Julie Hornbeek and husband Heath of Oklahoma City; granddaughter Jessica Mitzner of Boston, MA; grandson Tyler Hicks of Austin,TX; and great-grandson; Bo Riddle, of Prosper, TX.
Services will be held at the Buchanan Funeral home at 8712 N Council Road on Thursday, July 2nd at 10 am.
