Glynda D. Smith went to her eternal home in heaven July 17, 2022. She was born in Covington, Garfield County, Oklahoma, the first of two siblings born to Glen D. and Dorothea Anderson. She attended Capitol Hill High School, graduating with high marks in 1954. Glynda was active in several school activities, including pep club, choir, Spanish club, and student council. Upon graduation, she married and spent two years in San Francisco, CA, returning later to Oklahoma City. For a short time, Glynda modeled for the Pat Shockey Agency, and also worked as a secretary for a textile company. Among her hobbies, Glynda enjoyed traveling to many destinations. This included trips to Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Greece and Italy, as well as family trips to other locales like Hawaii, Alaska and the Caribbean. Glynda was a member of the Christian church and especially enjoyed studying Biblical history and prophecy. Among her greatest passions were religious and cultural exchange. She developed several close friends within the Jewish, Persian and Filipino communities. Most will remember Glynda for her joy of evangelism and her keen interest in others. Survivors include her son Steven, daughter Shauna Woloszyn, her husband William and grandchildren Heath Woloszyn and Stephanie Mora, her husband Aaron and great grandchildren, Gray, Emmie and Daxton. Also Glynda’s daughter Tami Duncan, her husband Peter and granddaughter Kimberlyn Dyer, her husband Josh and great grandchildren Everly and Tatum, and grandson Trey Duncan, his wife Melanie and great grandchildren John Hunter and Keeton.
