Hallie Faye Gutierres was born in Wichita Falls, Texas – June 6, 1943. She was raised in Thornberry, Texas. Later her family moved to Henrietta, Texas. She attended Henrietta Schools from 1st grade. She graduated from HHS in 1962. Later, she became a licensed vocational nurse (LVN). She worked in the area nursing homes until she married Jesse Gutierres on March 23, 1974. Hallie and Jesse dated while in Jr. High School. Hallie has three children, Jacqulin, Jesse III and Noah; 4 grandchildren, Megon Simcox of Newell, West Virginia, deceased Jesse Gutierres IV (Chuy), Isabella Gutierres and Rodrigo Gutierres of De Moines, Iowa. Hallie loved reading The Bible, teaching Bible class and Vacation Bible School. She was an avid cook. She loved cooking and baking for her family. Thanksgiving meal was her favorite thing to do for her family. She loved having a garden and loved her animals, dogs & cats. She always kept her home spotless. Everything had to be in a certain place. Hallie’s family had four daughters, Inez Foster, Kathy Duckett (deceased), Hallie and Alice Bloodworth; many nieces and nephews. Hallie is a member of the Putnam City Church of Christ. The funeral service will be at 10 AM on Wednesday, March 23rd, at Buchanan Funeral Service in Oklahoma City. Following the service, burial will be at Crestview Cemetery in Witchita Falls, Texas.
