Laureen Mary Gogocha, age 88, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023, at an Oklahoma City care center.
Laureen was born on March 16, 1935, to Archie and Evaleen (Smith) Stewart, in Ludington, Michigan. After obtaining her bachelors’ degree and teaching certificate, Laureen began teaching Elementary Education for the next 30 plus years. On October 4, 1958, she married the love of her life, Peter Gogocha, and they spent the next 52 wonderful years together before his death on September 11, 2010. A wonderful, loving, devoted Christian mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Laureen was a longtime member of the Church of Christ who dearly loved her family.
Laureen is survived by two sons; John Gogocha and wife Carin of Mustang, Oklahoma and Mike Gogocha and wife Vicki of London, Kentucky; one daughter, Cindy Walker and husband Dale of Del City, Oklahoma along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from noon until 5 p.m., at Buchanan Funeral Service, 8712 N. Council Road, Oklahoma City, OK 73132. A graveside service will be held at the Farmington Cemetery in Farmington, Arkansas at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2023, under the direction of Buchanan Funeral service of Oklahoma City.
