Lillian Stapp January 15, 1918 - April 5, 2009

Angels descended to lead Lillian Virginia Cowan Stapp to heaven on Palm Sunday, April 5, 2009. Virginia is truly a beloved saint in every respect and is revered by everyone she knows. Virginia grew up on a farm in Pauls Valley, OK learning the lessons of life. She moved to Oklahoma City and worked at Tinker Air Force Base as a secretary where she met and married C.W. Stapp, JR, a union that would last for 60 years. As a beloved mother she imparted a tremendous foundation to her two sons, James Alec and Robert Bruce to lead their lives. She has 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Words cannot express the heartfelt emotions we all have for her. While she will be truly missed, we all still feel her presence every day. Services celebrating her life will be held at Portland Ave. Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 8 at 11:00 AM. Lunch will follow at the church with internment at the Maysville City Cemetery.
