Linda Louise Jacobs, 77 of OKC was born August 17, 1939 in Sand Springs, OK to Stanley and Elizabeth (Ege) Mead. She died October 24, 2016 after a long battle with lung cancer. She lived in Sand Springs, Muskogee, Tulsa, and OKC, as well as Alabama. In 1983, Linda received her RN Nursing Degree in South Carolina at age 35 graduating at the top of her class. She was an Obstetrical Nurse for a number of years and then ventured on to Case Management with BCBS of Alabama.
Her hobbies include Fly-fishing, cooking and traveling. Linda loved to laugh especially with her family. She was very particular on how she wanted things in preparation of family gatherings. She was a giving mother who wanted to always take care of others before she took care of herself. She had such compassion and love for her animals.
Linda is survived by husband, Richard Jacobs, and children: Donald Jimes, DianneWhisler and husband Steve, Teresa Jimes and Cyndi Jimes; Sandra and Glenn Walthall and Cyndie and Dayan Rodriquez. Grandchildren; NicoleConsiglio, Alicia Whisler, Amanda Whisler, Anthony Jimes, Nathan Jimes, Jacob Teague, and Este Christiansen; Carson Walthall, Ashton Walthall and Sera Walthall; Cody, Tommy and Haven Rodriguez. Great-grandchildren; Eli Webb, Jaiyana Turner, EdenConsiglio and Ethen Consiglio; half-sister, Jean; and her favorite pet, Sophie.
Service to celebrate her life will be 2 pm, Friday, October 28, 2016 in the chapel of Buchanan Funeral Service, 8712 N. Council Road in OKC.
