Melinda Dorene (Dee Dee) Frint, age 54, of Edmond, Okla., passed away on March.16, 2019. She was born in Bay Harbor, California, on September 14, 1964 to Paul Kelly (who preceded her in death) and Olga Kelley Elizalde of Beeville,Texas. Dee Dee was a devoted and loving wife to Victor Ernie Frint. They met in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a loving mother to her two sons who survive her: Zachary Victor Frint of Edmond, Oklahoma and Joshua Brandon Frint (and his wife Serena) of Edmond, Oklahoma. Dee Dee is survived by her grandmother, Francis R. Young of Sacramento, California, and three siblings: Todd Kelley of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Stephan Kelley of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and Elaine Kelley of Beeville, Texas. Dee Dee adored her nieces and nephews and treasured her relationship with each one.
Dee Dee enjoyed working for Staples for many years and maintained long-lasting friendships through that experience. Five years ago, Dee Dee and Victor opened a Yogurtland store in Edmond. This was a meaningful and fulfilling accomplishment for Dee Dee.
Dee Dee was an ardent parent and was very active in all of her sons’ school and sports activities. Among the many things she did with and for her children, she loved serving as a coach for many of their teams throughout the years. She was committed to activities and opportunities available to people in the special needs community, such as social events, sports opportunities, and learning activities. She chaperoned and coached many of these activities and events while accompanying her son.
