Robbie Carr was born on February 21, 1914, in VanBuren, Arkansas to William Belden and Dona Bell (Munds) Belden. Robbie was the youngest of four children. She had one older sister, Bonnie (Belden) Hale, and two older brothers, James Belden and Louie Belden . The family later moved to Bartlett, Oklahoma, where Robbie enjoyed a childhood of chasing her two older brothers, and living as a self professed "tomboy", climbing trees and resisting dresses whenever possible.
Robbie was married to Herman Carr in 1930 and they had one daughter, Herma (Carr) Langwell of Oklahoma City. Robbie continued to reside in Bartlett until 1948 when the family relocated to Oklahoma City. Robbie found employment with University Hospital where she continued to work until she retired 25 years later.
Robbie had three grandchildren, Janet (Langwell) Brown and husband Gary, Debbie (Langwell) Reich and David Langwell and wife Susanne. As a grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling them whenever possible.
Robbie has four great grandchildren, Michael Brown and wife Heather, Heather (Brown) Rogers and husband David, also Taylor Reich and Ryan Langwell. She continued her tradition of spoiling grandchildren, offering their favorite foods and candy whenever they were around.
Robbie was blessed with a life long enough to greet four great, great grandchildren: Tristan Brown, Gabriel Brown, Aubrey Rogers and Addison Rogers. She was also blessed with a beloved extended family with numerous nieces and nephews.
Robbie was blessed to live independently well into her 90's. She was an extremely independent person, blessed with good health and a sound mind for the vast majority of her life. She was a devout Christian, and an active member of Shields Boulevard Baptist Church of Oklahoma City and The First Baptist Church of Hominy.
In her later years Robbie was blessed with the ability to travel to many places she had long dreamed of visiting. Due to her good health, she was able to travel for many years following her retirement. She has traveled to Alaska, The Panama Canal, The Black Hills of South Dakota and numerous other locations within the United States, celebrating her 85th birthday in Israel.
In February, 2014, Robbie celebrated her 100th birthday with numerous family and friends from all over the state attending. This fulfilled the wish she had made on her 99th birthday.
Robbie is preceded in death by her mother and father, her bothers Louie Belden and James Belden, her sister Bonnie (Belden) Hale, and her son-in law, Ralph A. Langwell.
