Thomas A. Wolfla passed away peacefully on May 30, 2023. He was born July 1, 1941 to Mary and Thomas Wolfla in Indianapolis Indiana. Thomas is survived by his wife Madeline Wolfla, son Christopher Wolfla, daughter Susan Wolfla and grandchildren Andrew and Julie Wolfla. A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday June 9, 2023 at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church. Thomas was a graduate of Cathedral High School. He attended Purdue University where he received a Bachelors of Science in Metallurgy. After college Thomas joined the Army where he attained the rank of Major. During his career as a Metallurgical engineer Thomas work for Union Carbide, Praxair, and as a consultant. His work led to the creation of serval patented anti corrosion processes used in jet aircraft engines.
In his free time Thomas was a volunteer football and basketball coach. He loved NASSCAR, gardening, travel and his rescue cats.
