Wilson Thurman Magbee, 82, passed away September 25, 2009 in Oklahoma City. He was well known as a business leader who owned and operated a consumer electronics distributorship for many years. Thurman was also a civic leader, a layman in the United Methodist Church, a cattle rancher and a college professor. He was born April 26, 1927 in DeQueen, Arkansas, and was raised in Heavener, Oklahoma. Thurman was preceded in death by his parents, W.T. and Francis Eva Magbee; and his brother William L. Magbee. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Lou; son, Todd, and wife, Jana; son , Brett, and wife, Linda; daughter, Suzanne and husband, William R. Hall; eleven grandchildren; Matt and wife, Leslee; Mark; Christopher; Sara Lynn; Garrett; Andrew; Rebekah; Elizabeth; Joshua; Marnie and Joel; and two great-grandsons; Jacob Dylan and Elijah. A memorial service for Thurman will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at 10:30 AM, at Grace United Methodist Church 6316 N. Tulsa Avenue, OKC 73112. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at Buchanan Funeral Service, 8712 N. Council Rd. OKC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thurman's memory to Grace United Methodist Church or to the charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to extend an invitation for those who knew Thurman to join his family in a special service to remember a remarkable individual who had a positive impact on many lives.
