Dennis Wayne Werner, 46, of Piedmont, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 26, 2010. He was born April 24, 1964 in Oklahoma City to Cecil and Shirley Werner. Dennis was a salesman for Verseteq for 14 years. He was a devoted family man and servant leader in his church. He loved to make people laugh. He is preceded in death by grandparents Reverend William David and Arna Werner, DeWitt and Inez Edwards, uncle Henry Werner, and mother-in-law Audrey Kirksey. He is survived by his loving wife Michelle, of 25 years, son Isaiah and daughter-in-law Korri of Chicago, son Micah, and daughter Moriah; his parents, Cecil and Shirley of Oklahoma City, a brother, David Werner, sister-in-law Cherry, and two nephews, Kyle and Chad of Fort Worth, Texas, and numerous cousins and relatives. Visitation will be Sunday from 1- 8:30 PM. Family will receive visitors Sunday, Jan. 2 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Services to celebrate his life will be 1:30 pm Monday, Jan. 3rd at Council Road Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations will be received through Council Road.
