Doris Mae Tucker went home to be with the Lord on May 19, 2022. She was born in Independence, KS on November 15, 1926. Doris married Bill Tucker on January 13, 1945. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
She was devoted to her family and blessed us in ways too numerous to count. She loved her family, hats, dogs, puzzles, flowers, shopping at Dillards and making noodles. She started her career at Electra (being the 1st employee hired) and she retired after 40 years from Dana Manufacturing.
She is survived by her daughters Deanna Tucker, Jacquilyn Irby, husband Frank of Edmond, OK, Sister, Joy Salisbury of Tulsa, OK, grandchildren Jennifer Woods, husband Meece of Okarche, OK, Wesley Ware, wife Lona of Bartlesville, OK, and Sarah White, husband Loren of Cement, OK.
Great grandchildren Bethany Ware, Hannah Maness and husband Mason, Taylor Woods, Mason Ware and wife Darcie, Elijah Ware, Kyann Woods, Caleigh Jeffries, Icy White, Kamryn Woods.
Great great grandchildren Holden Ware, Isabella Heidrick, Maisee Maness and Lainey Ware.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, William Tucker, her parents Ralph and Velma Stroble, and her brother Ralph (Pete) Stroble, Jr.
A service honoring Doris will be held on Friday, May 27th at 1 p.m. at Buchanan Funeral Service in Oklahoma City. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude.
