Eloise Griffith May 24, 1920 - December 10, 2010

Eloise Griffith has been reunited with the love of her life to spend eternity with God. She was born May 24, 1920 near Belle Plaine, KS, and the 9th of 13 children of George & Lulu Walton Guinn; and survived by four siblings, Maurita Craven, Alfred Guinn, Jeanne Rowe, and Darwin Guinn. She died Fri., Dec. 10th, at the age of 90. Raised in Wellington, KS she moved to Topeka in 1937 where she met her love, John G. Griffith and they married March 28, 1942. John preceded her in death after 43 years. She has resided in Okla. City since 1947. She is survived by their children, John Griffith, Terry and his wife Barbara Griffith, and Janet Griffith, all of OKC; grandchildren, Gerry & Casey Goodall, James & Karrie Griffith, Chris & Stephanie Griffith, Robert & Tracie Griffith, Brian & Adrian Griffith, and Nikki & Devon Hamilton, 15 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She loved her family and loved being called grandma great. She is also survived by many loving extended family members and friends. She retired from the OCC Bible Bookstore in 1981. She became quite a china painter and was involved with the Starlite-Leisure Porcelain Artists group until her vision declined. She was a long time member of the Church of Christ and was an elder?TMs wife for many years. For 35 years they attended 12th & Drexel. After John?TMs death she was an active member of the Northwest congregation for last 25 years. The family wishes to thank the many who helped make her final months as blessed as possible. Special thanks to Patty Velasco, Reyna, Gloria, and Sylvia Hernandez who cared for her daily; and Hospice of Oklahoma county for their loving care and guidance and Care Plus Home Health, especially Vonda for her gentle care to the end. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of OK County or the charity of your choice. Eloise was a loving Mother, Grandma, and Grandma Great and touched many lives. The family will receive visitors Monday evening from 6-8PM at the Funeral Home. Services to celebrate her life will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 14th at Buchanan Funeral Service Chapel with interment to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
