James was born in Tribbey, Oklahoma to James and Agnes McKiddy, he was the oldest of 7 children. James married LaRita on April 22, 1959 and they lived in Lexington, then Noble, finally settling in Oklahoma City the last 8 years.
James was a member of the Lexington Masonic Lodge for over 45 years.
James lived to share stories about his family and friends and spent many hours entertaining loved ones with his memories. He enjoyed talking to people all over the world on his CB Radio.
James made a living as a Master Mechanic. He loved taking things apart to find out how they worked and then putting them back together. His first job was at the Burkett Motor Company in Lexington and he retired from his job managing fleet vehicles for the State of Oklahoma in the mid 1990s due to illness. He is survived by his wife, LaRita McKiddy; sons, James A McKiddy IV and Michael McKiddy and his wife Julie and their son Deacon; his daughter, Audrey Lundstrom and her husband Layne and their daughter Kyra. The family request in lieu flowers, please make a donation in James' name to the Integris Hospice of Oklahoma County. Services will be 10 AM, Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Buchanan Funeral Service Chapel.
