John Guinn Griffith passed away peacefully on April 6, 2024. He was born on February 4, 1944 to John and Eloise Griffith in Topeka, Kansas. John lived most of his adult life in Oklahoma. He enjoyed reading, studying, and watching his grandchildren in any of their many pursuits. He showed his love best with his consistent presence, never wanting to miss out on any Christmas morning or family event. While he was often content quietly observing, he was tremendously proud of his children and grandchildren. In recent years, his most enjoyable days were spent riding along with his son flying as well as sitting outdoors drinking coffee at the lake with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Terry Griffith. John is survived by his sister Janet Griffith, sister-in-law Barbara Griffith, son Gerry Goodall of Shawnee, son Chris and wife, Stephanie Griffith of Oklahoma City, daughter Nikki and husband, Devin Hamilton of Blanchard as well as his grandchildren Caitlin, Evan, Jackson, Coleman, and Quinn. John is also survived by the sons and families of his beloved brother Terry Griffith.
John’s memorial service to be held on April 17, 2024 at 10AM at Buchanan Funeral Service of Oklahoma City.
