With profound sadness we announce the passing of Mireya Estela Frisk, also known as Mimi, on September 12th, 2021. A loving wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend to all whose lives she touched. She passed away at the age of 46, during her battle with cancer.
Mimi was born March 11th, 1975 in Panama City, Panama. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother Roddy Castañeda.
Mimi is survived by her husband Robie Frisk; her children: Brittany Spaugy, Kaila Spaugy, Loyd (Bello) Spaugy, Elizabeth Frisk and Jamie Frisk, her mother Mireya Naranjo, her grandmother Eulalia “Yaya” Garcia, her sisters Isabel Garcia and Ruth Castañeda and 2 grandchildren; Stella & Sterling Spaugy.
Mimi lived a beautiful & fun life, a creative entrepreneur who never gave up on her dreams and, most of all making family everything. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
A celebration of Mimi’s life will be at Buchanan Funeral Service, 8712 North Council Road, Oklahoma City on Saturday, September 18th beginning at 12 pm. Mimi requested that all attendees wear colorful clothing to honor her life in place of black.
A public viewing will also happen a day prior on Friday September 17th from 1-8pm at Buchanan Funeral Service with family greeting guest from 6-8pm.
