Stanley Alexander November 13, 1948 - January 1, 1970

Stanley Wayne, age 60 of OKC, formerly of Burneyville, OK., went to his Heavenly Father on May 25, 2009. He was born November 13, 1948 in Gainesville, TX to Cecil H. and Pearly J. (Mapp) Alexander. Stan married Marilyn Potter on June 6, 1968. He served his country in the Vietnam Conflict and was awarded a Bronze Star. Stan was a construction project manager, working for Kim Kornhass Construction, Samuel F. Noble Foundation and FlintCo Construction Solutions. He was the Senior Project Manager for the Lake Hefner Water Plant Renovation, the Myriad renovations that produced the Cox Convention Center, the OU Biomedical Research Building and his final project, the Ford Center. Stan's favorite times were with his sons working cattle, building anything and golfing. He loved his horse, Baby and his acreage west of Marietta where he built his home and raised his family. He was a voting member of the Chickasaw Indian nation and his grandfather, Ernest Lee Alexander was an original enrollee. His family wishes to thank Seniors Helping Hands, Pauline Baker, and Alleve Hospice for their excellent care during his last six months. Stan was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, 2 aunts and a cousin. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Shea & Rebecca Alexander & grandchildren, Isabella & Caden Alexander; son Dustin Alexander and life partner, James Spears; mother, Pearly Jewell (Jo) Alexander; sister & brother-in-law, Cecilia & Steve Black all of OKC; uncles, Wayne Alexander of Grand Prairie, Tx & Don Glidden of Norman, OK; 3 cousins, 7 nephews, & 3 nieces. Services to celebrate his life will be 10:00 AM, Friday, May 29th at Buchanan Funeral Service with a graveside service 3:00 Pm at Burneyville Cemetery, Burneyville, OK.
